Internships - Refugee Issues

Please see below for our placements with refugees:

Microfinance/Micro credit project officer is required on the refugee settlemetn to provide technical support to the Micro-Credit project staff, review and develop current activities and programs and aid small enterprise development on the settlement.

A Student Journalist is required to work on the newspaper for the Refugee Settlement. The interns should have a relevant degree and preferably some work experience.

A Senior Communications Officer is required to run journalism workshops, lectures and seminars on the Refugee Settlement. He or she will also be expected to assess, monitor, and evaluate ongoing projects.

A Women's Rights Officer is required at the refugee settlement. The intern will have a wide remit for educating and empowering women in the camp. This will involve being an advocate for women’s rights, education on healthcare issues, and small business development.

A Human Rights Educator is required at the refugee settlement to run workshops, review and develop current activities and programs and seek new potential partners.

A Web-designer/administrator is required on the refugee camp to update and develop the website and train staff in website administration. The volunteer will also be required to teach computer literacy.
