The small firm was established in 2002 in Ghana to capitalize on the record of accomplishment and expertise garnered by its people over more than three decades. Its Directors are eminent personalities who have made their mark not only as professionals in Ghana, but also as high office holders overseas within the United Nations and other institutions in North America and the United Kingdom. Their Managing Consultant is a Lawyer and Organizational Development Professional who is recognized in the field of professional consultancy services in Ghana. Together, associates and staff of Shawbell Consulting have undertaken institutional restructuring and renewal, operational and regulatory due diligence, and human resource strengthening and capacity-building assignments for nearly all public sector organizations in Ghana, and also for many private sector institutions.

Current Placement Opportunities

Assistant Consultant
They are looking for an assistant consultant to join their team in Accra. The ideal intern would partake in office team work, help gather field data, interact with clients at a junior consultant level and draft, develop and format reports. Shawbell are looking for a University Graduate with good English skills. They hope that the intern will obtain business exposure in Ghana and share knowledge and experiences with local graduates and or post-graduates who have not had any international exposure .

Law graduates are needed to help with all legal documentation. They will be expected to work alongside their current staff. They hope that the intern will obtain exposure in Ghana Law and share knowledge and experiences with local graduates and or post-graduates who have not had any international exposure.

The role will be quite hectic with a minimum working day of 8hrs required. All interns will be required to act professionally and dress appropriately (jackets will need to be on stand-by).

Health and Safety
There are a number of health clinics and hospitals in the area. Interns should show due care and diligence whilst in placement. We recommend interns do not walk alone at night. Refrain from bringing expensive items as these attract attention.

Other details
• The intern will be housed in our accommodation in the centre of town, it is clean and well maintained. Previous interns described the accommodation as "a lovely haven in all the chaos." The accommodation is centrally located to Accra, with it possible to walk to nearby shops, communication centres, bars and restaurants.
• The accommodation has 24/7 security, a fully furnished kitchen, housekeepers, a large garden, all upstairs rooms have access to balconies, a large dining and living room.
• Washing & ironing facility is available.
• Please arrive on a weekday to avoid being surcharged for weekend pick-ups.
• There are small stores in the neighbourhood and larger supermarkets can be found a 5-min drive away.
